Bustarviejo has a population of just over 2000 and manages to retain some of the feeling of a "working" village rather than a summer/weekend satellite of Madrid. Bustarviejo is the 4th highest town in the Sierra Norte at 1,222m Fiestas in Bustarviejo Like a lot of towns in the Sierra Bustarviejo celebrates San Isidro on  the 15 of May The main village Fiesta is "Cristo de los Remedios on the 14th of September
